Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance Participates in 2026 UN Financing for Development Forum

Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations Policies and Consultations Dr. Turki Abalala participated in the 2026 Financing for Development Forum of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), held at United Nations headquarters in New York 20-24 April 2026, with high-level participation from member states and international organizations.
 ‏In his address, Dr. Abalala highlighted the Kingdom’s leading role in supporting international efforts to advance sustainable development, amid accelerating global economic and development challenges. He emphasized the importance of strengthening collective international action to address these challenges and enhance development pathways.
 ‏He also affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting sustainable development for all, particularly in conflict-affected countries, and enabling them to meet their essential needs in a way that fosters growth and prosperity.
 ‏At the conclusion of his participation, Dr. Abalala reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to continuing its constructive role in supporting international efforts to further develop the global economic and financial system, enhance its stability and efficiency, and advance sustainable development at both regional and international levels.
